Responsibilities
- Develop core technology, including active participation in new solutions, the refinement of existing code, and the optimization of dynamic web content
- help write design specifications, programming specifications, and documentation
- Develop and maintain web applications written in Perl code for Catalyst models, views and controllers.
- Collaborate with product management to produce functional specifications, including feasibility assessments, engineering time estimates, and strategic value assessments
- Leading a team of developers.
Requirements
- 2+ years of CSS/HTML
- Expert in Javascript/Ajax/DOM
- Experience in Prototype
- Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills
- Strong initiative – capable of working on a self-sufficient basis and able to identify areas of potential technical improvement
- Self-management – capable of prioritizing and executing tasks
- Problem solving – ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
Preferred
- 2+ years of Perl or PHP experience
- Excellent data mining abilities with MySQL
- MVC implementation experience
- Experience with other languages/systems
